Congregational Support and Resource Committee

Thecommittee is charged by Diocesan Council with the responsibility of awarding grants from the Walter P. Irish Fund and Initiatives II and III of the J. Warren and Lois McClure Discipleship Discovery 2000 Fund. Applications are considered four times per year and should be sent to the committee chair (see below) or to the Diocesan Center. Funds are available under the Walter P. Irish Revocable Trust "to provide assistance to Episcopal Churches located in small Vermont towns to assist such churches with any difficulties they may be having." Download the application form in MS Word. Download the grant reporting form.

Initiative II of the McClure/Discovery 2000 Fund, The Talent and Resource Network, makes funds available to help defray the costs of travel, supplies, materials, coordination and training, as well as other costs related to enabling experienced clergy and lay leaders (from both within and outside the Diocese of Vermont) to share their time, energy, and talents. Initiative III of the McClure/Discovery 2000 Fund, the Congregational Renewal and Emergency Assistance Fund, makes funds available to address vital issues facing congregations/regional ministries or their communities—something as simple as building a convenient restroom for Sunday School children, or as complex as planting a new church or establishing a community-based daycare center. Funds will also be available to assist churches facing an emergency situation. Download the application form in MS Word. Download the grant accounting form.
