Convention Youth Conference
Friday, November 5, 4:00 p.m. until Saturday, November 6, 3:30 p.m.
Youth (grades 6–12) are invited to join their peers from around the Diocese of Vermont for a fun-filled weekend exploring the Diocesan Convention theme, "Praying Our Life — Living Our Prayer," through workshops, speakers, art, music, and prayer. The conference will be held at the Bishop Booth Conference Center at Rock Point.
Workshops included are: "Stuff and Symbols: The Way We Worship," led by special Convention guest Emily Scott of St. Lydia's Church, New York, New York, Christian Yoga, Mandala Creation, Making and Praying the Anglican Rosary, and "Psalms and Songs," an exploration of the psalms through contemporary music.
The weekend will also include attending the Saturday morning Convention Eucharist, sharing in a Sacred Meal, and a walking pilgrimage of Rock Point.
Bring walking shoes, a yoga mat (optional) and an iPod or favorite CD.
The fee is $60 and includes meals and Friday night accomodations at Bishop Booth Conference Center. Register by October 18. Download registration form.
