Schedule and General Information

This year's Diocesan Convention will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Burlington.
Download a form to register for the Convention and/or the Friday night Sacred Meal.

The Convention special guest is Emily Scott, founder and pastoral minister at St. Lydia's, a "dinner church" congregation that meets in Manhattan's East Village on Sunday Evenings. She will lead a Friday Morning Workshop, a Friday Afternoon Forum, and, with Bishop Ely, the Friday evening Sacred Meal.

Ministry Fairs are planned for October 2 (St. Paul's, White River), October 16 (St. James', Essex Junction) and October 31 (Zion, Manchester Center). Delegates should attend at least the afternoon session, where Convention business will be discussed, with an opportunity to ask questions in a less formal setting than that of the Convention business session. Information on the Ministry Fairs is here.

Youth Conference
This year, a conference for youth in grades 6-12 will be held at Bishop Booth Conference Center from Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Based on the Convention theme, the event will include a Sacred Meal, music, games, prayer, workshops, a short Rock Point pilgrimage and the Saturday morning Convention Eucharist. Emily Scott will lead a workshop on "Stuff and Symbols: They Ways We Worship." More information is here. Download a registration form. Download a "save the date" flyer.

Friday Night Sacred Meal
The meal (7-9 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel) will be modeled on the practice of St. Lydia's. Bishop Ely will preside, and Emily Scott will preach. Mark Howe, Canon Precentor at St. Paul's, will lead the music, and volunteer worship leaders are needed to help guide the gathered community. All that is required is interest and attendance at the Friday afternoon (1:00 – 2:30) Paperless Music Rehearsal (see schedule below), in which the music for the Sacred Meal will be reviewed by Mark Howe, and Emily Scott. Ideally there will be one worship leader at each table. If you are planning to attend the sacred meal on Friday night and would like to help with this ministry of hospitality and support, please contact Caitlin McFarland or attend the Paperless Music workshop on Friday afternoon and speak to her there.
