Changing the Conversation, with author Anthony Robinson

Anthony B. Robinson, author of Changing the Conversation:
A Third Way for Congregations, will offer teaching opportunities in conjunction
with the Special Diocesan Convention scheduled for June 4 (see below). The Saturday
presentation in Burlington will be repeated on Sunday in Rutland. Robinson's
work presents a vision for congregatiosn to move out of polarized models such
as progressive/traditional and liberal/conservative and into conversations that
move onto a course for following God's call to mission. All are welcome and encouraged
to attend one of these events. More information is here.
Special Diocesan
Convention, Saturday, June 4, 1–3
pm, Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Burlington
The November 2010 Diocesan Convention voted to call a special convention
to consider and act upon the recommendations of the Capital Campaign
Discernment Committee regarding a possible diocesan capital campaign.

Cristosal Base Community
Summit, May 27–30,
Bishop Booth Conference Center, Burlington
The summit is intended to seed solid leadership from North America to help
promote and grow Fundación Cristosal and its vision of mission work in
El Salvador. The event will combine workshops and guest speakers such as
the founding director, the Rev. Richard Bower, El Salvador Bishop Martín
Barahona, and executive Director Noah Bullock. It will be an opportunity
for people who work with Cristosal and care deeply for El Salvador to meet
face to face, share experiences, and build a strategy to make a greater

New England Global
Mission Conference,
May 19–21, Marist House, Framingham, Massachusetts
Connecticut Bishop Ian Douglas will give the keynote address at this
conference intended for all interested in global mission, particularly
those who have felt called to go somewhere in mission and want to learn
