Vermont Mission Trip a Great Success!

The kids were great and really had a super time. They worked hard, played
hard, cooperated with the grown-ups, and got along together superbly-
they were really one big group doing everything together. In fact, their
only complaint was that we separated them at night and made them go to
bed (why cant we stay up all night talking?).
The spot was beautiful, the people delightful and our leader, Tim (the
gardener, baker, caretaker, organist and all-around Renaissance man)
had us very organized clambering mountainsides for rare, wild ferns and
ginger, weeding, transplanting, clearing brush and building a bonfire,
which he got permission from the local fire chief to hold in the field.
The pastor and congregation was very appreciative of our work - we received
a lovely mention as a thanksgiving in the prayers of the people. In fact,
we are asked back for next year and Tim promises to have more projects
for us.
We were able to pay for the Alpine Slide out of our funds We also went
to a state park for swimming both days. We had lots of food and donated
our left-overs to the Rutland Women's Shelter which the Mission church
supports.
We took lots of pictures and I know you will enjoy them. They can be
enjoyed simply by clicking here.
