Christ Church

North Main St.
Bethel, VT 05032
802-234-5680

Sunday Service at 10 am, Rite Two

We at Christ Church are a warmly welcoming community. Our priorities are gathering for the worship of God, celebrating and encouraging lay as well as ordained participation in all church activities, supporting and helping each other in difficult times, and working to end poverty and create a more just society.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day (inclusive) we meet in the historic Old Christ Church building in Bethel Gilead. The rest of the year we meet in the white church on North Main Street in downtown Bethel, sometimes moving to the parish house for more intimate worship space.

Though we are small in size, we have a big heart and a lot of energy, supporting diverse ministries and outreach groups. These include the First Friday movie nights for teenagers on the first Friday of each month, work with Hasta la Cosecha ministry in El Salvador (an organization which helps foster sustainable agricultural practices), strong and innovative involvement in the Bethel Food Shelf, and a discussion circle with potluck on the second Tuesday of each month. We are also interested in starting art and writing groups for young people and adults. In all things we seek to serve Christ in all persons and in God’s creation.
